After yet another fantastic weekend with A LOT of FIFA 12 challenges being played we hereby announce the winners of the second TheFragArena FIFA 12 Marathon Weekend.

New FIFA 12 Marathon Weekend! Extra 600 EUR waiting for you

Our last FIFA 12 Marathon in January was a blast of an event, so here we go again! As usual with more than 600 EUR in the prize pool.

And just like last time, you can for once suck at FIFA 12 and still take home a lot of cash and win. It's NOT how GOOD you are but how MANY challenges you will play!

The rules are simple:

• The 8 players with the MOST played FIFA 12 cash challenges (€2 or higher stake) in the period share the prize pool.
• The period is from: Friday February 10th at 12.00 CET to Sunday February 12th at 24.00 CET.
• 8 Players must have played a minimum of 30 unique qualifying challenges in the period to be entitled to qualify.
• Players can choose to play Xbox360 or PlayStation3.
• Players can choose the challenge amount themselves, but the minimum challenge amount MUST be €2 or higher. Challenges made with €1 will NOT count towards the FIFA MArathon event leaderboard.
• Two players can maximum play 20 challenges against each other, that will count as "qualifying event challenges" during the event period.
• Players will still receive the normal winnings from the played challenges and they are still counted for on the normal FIFA 12 sideboard.
• We reserve the right to disqualify any player without warning if they abuse the event or challenge system.
• Disconnected, non-played or any irregular challenges or matches are not counted for as qualified event challenges.

FIFA 12 KickStars PS3/XBOX360 Season #3 Playdays, rules & info

The long-awaited Season #3 in the €1000 FIFA12 PS3/XBOX360 KickStars Leagues are up. Please check your group and start playing your matches!

These players, will over the course of the week battle it out in a group stage, with up to 8 players in up to 8 groups, where all players get to play each other, with the point system of 3 for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss. The TOP 2 in each group, when all matches have been played, will advance to the Play-off’s. The TOP 16 of the players, meaning 3rd and 4th in the group stages and the TOP 8 that advances to the KickStars Play-off’s will prizes, services and or prize money as following:

General rules and guidelines

1.0 – Preparations

1.1 – Complete player profile

All players must have a complete player profile on the website. This means that the following information must be filed out correctly:

• You have to add a gamertag for PS3/XBOX360 to your BeGosu profile (Add it under OPTIONS on the site).
• You must add at least one way of contacting you to your BeGosu profile (MSN, Skype, IRC etc.)
• You must set up your ASR (Auto-Score Reporting). Navigate IN-GAME to: “Online Game Modes” --> “My FIFA 12 Online” --> “Online Settings --> “EA Account Settings”. Then change your e-mail to your-username-here@matchtower.com. After you have done that, go back one menu and navigate to “Match Reports” --> “Forward End-of-Game Stats”. Then choose the option “Yes”.

1.2 – How to play the matches in the group stages:

All matches in the group stages are scheduled to be played within the given timeframe for the group state. Note that if the match is not played when the group stage ends, both players receive 0 points + pentalty points for the match(es) and since this is a point based League we advise all players to get their opponents challenged in good time and have the match played, as it will affect your ranking. If your opponent is not answering your match challenge, then please write on his wall and ask him to accept it and set his preferred time and date. Results are awarded with the following to the individual players: Win = 3 Points, Draw = 1 Point, Loss = 0 points.

1.3 – How to play the matches in the Play-offs’ and Grand Finals:

All matches in the play-off brackets (Visible on the League page when the play-offs begin) are pre-setup bracket matches and you can in the bracket see who your opponent is for the given round. Contact your opponent via matchup details page (click the glass loop icon in the brackets) and set a date and time for the match to be played. When the match has been played, the brackets will update itself and you do NOT have to report it anywhere. In the rare case that it does not automatically update within 30 minutes of the match having been played, please contact our live support.

1.4 - Not being able to play your match before the deadline

If you do not manage to play your match or matches before the deadline of the group play, both you and your opponent will get 0 points for the match(es) and 1 additional penalty point will be taken from your total group points, per missed match, so make sure to get your matches played in good time. If admins find or see players not playing matches on purpose to avoid other players gaining league points for their matches, they may add additional penalty points to the player in questions.

There is no such case where we would award a player points for none played matches in the group stage, if both players have just shown the minimum of activity. Therefore; play your match before the deadline, since that is the best for both of you. The same counts for the Play-offs, there is no such thing as not being able to play the matches, so please get them scheduled and avoid to delay the league.

In case your match is not played before the deadline please write an email to support@luopgames.com with the subject: "FIFA12 KickStars Dispute" within two hours after the deadline of the group stage.

Under special circumstances we might extend the deadline with 12 hours, but that is up to the league administration to decide. Do not try to claim a default win - not through the LIVE Support nor through our Support Email. Note LIVE support does NOT update groups, these can only be reported via email, so please do not ask them to do so.

2.0 – Match Ruleset

2.1 – Game Settings

When creating a match in-game, please make sure to have the following Game Settings applied:

• Game Type: Ranked (Unranked matches are NOT allowed)
• Team Level: Any
• Controls: Any
• Game Speed: Normal (If you want to, you can agree with your opponent on different game settings (for example 'Fast').

2.2 – General rules

A) Non-allowed actions

You must not apply the following during a match:

• Custom formations
• Custom corners
• Adidas LIVE Season
• Stat glitching or any other bug abuse

B) In case of a draw

If the match ends as a draw, it shall remain as a draw for which both players receive 1 point. Do NOT play extra time and or penalties, as only the score in the original half times will count.

2.3 – Match reporting (IMPORTANT MUST READ!)

E-Mail support@luopgames.com with the group match results, clearly state if your macth is in the PS3 or XBOX360 league, one by one results only, and the link to your EA player hub and a FIFA Admin will update the group within 24 hours with the points and results. Play-off matches do NOT have to be reported and the brackets will auto update themselves.

3.0 – Disputing

3.1 – Creating a dispute of a match

The main priority will always be to play the full match in a fair way. If your opponent cheats, please quit the match immediately, inform him about the cheating, and restart the match in a fair way. If you are still having a conflict, please write to support@luopgames.com and inform us about your problem.

The prizes will be released when a minimum of 5000 unique arcade challenges has been played within the given month. A player needs to have played 500 unique arcade challenges to be eligible to win a prize.
-          Forfeited challenges will not be counted as played challenges
-          Only cash challenges will be counted towards the Leaderboard
-          General Fairplay and arcade challenge rules apply and any abuse will result in immediate disqualification

 
*The 1st prize will only be shipped within the EU, given its size and the risk of damaged goods on a longer journey.

KickStars Qualifiers ended - Leagues Starting!

The qualifier tournaments for the KickStars FIFA 12 PS3 and XBOX360 Leagues have ended and we are once again looking forward to some action packed group stages, hefty playoffs and grand finals in the respective Season #2 and #3 for FIFA 12.

Both KickStars Leagues will start Saturday 18:00 CET on February 4th 2012, where groups and further details will be released, as we are currently filling the last spots and preparing the group stages for both PS3 and XBOX360.
